ABOUT US

TCS Studio: By Skaters, For Skaters

Twin Cities Skater Studio, founded in 2024, is a community-driven space that’s designed by skaters for skaters. Our experienced instructors offer a variety of classes and workshops, all focused on building core strength, balance, and stability through our signature Sk8rSculpt training method. Whether you're a figure skater, hockey player, derby player, or jam skate dancer, we're committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for skaters of all disciplines to learn, grow, and connect. Members save on classes, sessions, workshops, and one-on-one training.

  • What is Sk8rSculpt Fitness?
Sk8rSculpt is a dynamic fitness program that combines the exhilaration of roller skating with targeted strength and endurance utilizing both on and off boot training. Designed to empower pre-skaters, and strengthen and tone skaters of all levels, it focuses on building core stability, lower-body power, and cardiovascular endurance through a series of HIIT structured workouts that blend skating drills with resistance exercises, for increased balance and stability. Whether you're looking to improve agility, muscle tone, or enhance overall skating performance, Sk8rSculpt provides a fun and effective way to stay fit. With guided routines that incorporate balance, flexibility, and high-energy movement, this program is designed with both younger and aging clients in mind, making fitness both exciting and accessible. Sk8rSculpt is a partner brand of Twin Cities Skaters.
  • When can we come skate
Our business hours are 10am-10pm, but we are not always open for public skating (please refer to website or social media weekly schedule). During these hours we have meetings, events, classes and programming throughout the week, mostly for members and private events. We are a membership organization. TCS Club members are welcome to attend all open to the public skate sessions, theme parties, skate classes, practice sessions, lessons, and workshops. Members-only skate sessions are not open to the general public. Non-members are welcome to attend our rollerskate class (and accompanying practice sessions), theme parties and other events. Tickets are available for purchase online. Non-members are also welcome to rent the TCS Skate studio for private events. Inquire here
  • Can we bring alcohol?
We don’t allow alcohol or any mood altering substances at TCS events, classes, or sessions. Management reserves the right to remove or refuse admission to anyone who appears to be intoxicated. Please inquire within for private party rental.
  • Who painted your murals?
All of our artwork was created by the incredibly talented roller skating artists within the Twin Cities Roller Skaters community
  • Do you teach private roller skating lessons?
Yes, in addition to our regularly scheduled classes, we also offer private one-on-one classes as well as small groups. Bring your squad, crew, family, or crowd. Register here
  • Do you work with event planners for onsite parties or offsite roller skating events?
Yes. We are happy to be your event venue, and provide you with the opportunity to host an amazing skate party. Event collaborations are welcomed and encouraged! We’re happy to split admission costs and provide $5 skate rentals for the general public with a signed waiver. Must be an event with an anticipated crowd to serve that's pre-approved
  • Where can we donate to help you continue providing skate programming?
If you want to support ongoing efforts to Make America Skate Again, please donate to our GoFundMe account.
  • Can we bring our own food and drink?
For scheduled parties and events, we have a small fridge for your cake. No eating or drinking is allowed on the skate floor. Stick to the sidelines or the B-side for food and drinks. Certain foods are prohibited: grapes, blueberries, meatballs.. anything that rolls, naturally.
  • Do you host field trips for childcare centers, schools or youth groups?
Yes, but our onsite capacity tops around 100. For larger groups, we can bring the rental skates and performers to you, or meet you somewhere with a better floor. Inquire here, let’s figure out how we can serve you best
  • Do you allow Rollerblades?
We have a very limited supply of inline rental skates. You are also welcome to bring your own. Our in-house Sk8rSculpt program is designed to cater to all skaters, regardless of what kind of wheels they’re on. Blades are welcome, but our classes are geared toward quads. We have access to some pretty impressive inline skate professionals, so classes can be arranged if that’s what you’re looking for. Basically we just want you to skate.
  • Can we bring our own skates
We encourage you to use your own well-fitted skates and reliable safety gear. We want every skater to have their own gear, but we are happy to provide rentals if it gets you to start rolling.
  • Do you rent skates
Onsite Skate rental at our TCS Studio is $5 per person (for sessions, free with classes), free for members. Offsite Skate rentals are $10 per day, perfect for a ride around the lakes or other skate events. All rental skates are pampered with regular spa days and safety inspections preventative maintenance.
  • Do you take cash
We accept Cash (exact change), credit cards, Paypal, Venmo, or Apple Pay onsite
